Surrender by Charles A. Waugaman

SURRENDER

O Thou Water of Life,
whether I be a droplet,
a jet, or a fountain,
I am thine,
for better.
There is no worse
when Life is near;
there is no fear
where truth can reign.
I am tired of fear.
My best remains the worst,
without You.
In, and through,
beside and by
this fragile cup
that now is Yours
pour Life
to the thirsty, the parched
and the dying,

despite my trying.
