Published first in Time Of Singing, years ago.  I was in school when my father died, when I was 29.  Now I am 62.

I am reprinting this poem for the one-word prompt LEGACY; as I think about different commitments and projects, over decades.

Sometimes goals need to be changed too, to be well.  Sometimes I have needed to give myself more time, adjust my expectations, and/or be creative in a new way, as I age.

We learn and grow.
