Flight by Charles A. Waugaman

My Journal Poems

FLIGHT

As the gull
rests on the air currents,
motionless,
unfearing,
thus I would rest
on the breath of the Spirit,
so at ease
so certain
I could turn my vision
back and forward,
and decipher my meaning.

once all this was new
and a challenge to learn
when not well

now I wind around
small country roads
reflecting on the gifts
of nature and poetry

so much undeserved Grace
